TCK couldn't exist without our fantastic team of volunteers, and we are always expanding that team! We have several different types of volunteer opportunities.
Kitchen volunteers (Tuesdays, 10am-2pm): Assist with meal prep, packaging, and light cooking. No experience needed. Kitchen volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID and must wear closed-toed shoes and a hat or hair covering. Sign up here online on a week-by-week basis.
Delivery drivers (Tuesdays, approx. 2pm-4pm): Drop off packaged meals at 15-20 homes in Truro. Contact us directly if you are interested in delivering meals with TCK.
Green Team (Tuesdays, 2:30-4:30pm): Pitch in with the team of volunteers responsible for washing and sanitizing our reusable meal containers in the commercial dishwasher. Not a glamorous task, but it's with a great group of volunteers, and the work is absolutely essential! NEW OPPORTUNITY - Monday Cooking: Help Tuesdays run smoothly by preparing more complex meal items, including those for community members with dietary restrictions, ahead of time.
